"My journey as a ceramic artist started in college, where I fell in love with the grounding, inspiring process of working with clay. Clay often feels like it has a personality of its own, and I had to learn how to collaborate with it—guiding the material and glazes to bring my ideas to life. That push and pull is something I’ve embraced in my work, balancing clean lines and angles with the raw, natural beauty of the clay. My background as a graphic designer has also shaped my style, drawing me toward patterns and the interplay of structure and creativity. I focus on creating functional pieces that are meant to be used and enjoyed every day. There’s something magical about combining the tactile feel of raw clay with vibrant glazes to create something beautiful and practical. For me, the process of making is just as rewarding as the finished piece, and I take my time with the details because I truly enjoy every step.

I moved from Missouri to Salt Lake City almost 10 years ago and quickly fell in love with the community here. Working with the wonderful people at Red Kiln has brought so much inspiration and joy to my practice—it’s about more than just clay; it’s about connection. Through my ceramics, I hope to share the beauty of textures, patterns, and natural clay, and to bring a little extra joy to the everyday.
